This 7 legged hermaphrodite lamb in Nwe Zealand with polymelia (a birth defect involving limbs where the affected individual has more than the usual number of limbs) would probably be put down by vets after discovering that a part of of its bowel is missing and thereafter was unable to pass feces.
Polymelia is rare among both humans and animals. Veterinarian Steve Williams who suggested the lamb to be euthanized believed that an error during embryo formation had caused to the lamb’s 7 legged dilemma. This is a condition that occurs once in several million sheep and there is another case of a lamb with six legs in Belgium as well reported last year.

Will this be the latest fashion for mobile phone geeks? I am utterly out of speech over the absolute awfulness of this. Sure you could be a diehard Motorala fan, but this is going way overboard.

An Ohio man is using cardboard cutouts of his children to slow down motorists. The idea is not new where cardboard cutouts of policeman has been used before. Frustrated by motorists unwillingness to slow down, he puts up these life size cutouts in his yard.
His idea has been posted on some law enforcement web sites around the country and he is selling the signs for $60 now. NBC4 has a slide show about this whole story.

Ok, that doesn’t make me gay! A lovely pic that shows the definition of love and friendship in a single photo. It definitely is photoshopped since the hamsters used in the photo are one of the same but it is still a touching photo with a great message from the artist.

Beer-breaths beware. A new concept car with breathalyzer-like detection systems may provide even greater traction for Japanese efforts to keep impaired drivers off the road.
Nissan’s alcohol-detection sensors check odor, sweat and driver awareness, issuing a voice alert from the navigation system and locking up the ignition if necessary.
Odor sensors on the driver and passenger seats read alcohol levels, while a detector in the gear-shift knob measures the perspiration of the driver’s palm when starting the car.
Other carmakers with detection systems include Sweden’s Volvo, which has developed technology in which drivers blow into a measuring unit in the seat belt before an engine can start.
But Nissan’s car includes a mounted camera that monitors alertness by eye scan, ringing bells and issuing a voice message in Japanese or English if a driver should pull over and rest.

A lottery winner doubled his share of the jackpot to nearly 1 million pounds after he mistakenly bought two lucky tickets for the same draw, organizers Camelot said Wednesday.
Derek Ladner, 57, from Cornwall, and his wife Dawn, 60, won with their usual numbers in the mid-week draw, sharing the 2.4 million pounds jackpot with four other tickets.
A week later, he found a second identical ticket in his wallet and realized he had absent-mindedly entered twice.
Their double-share of the jackpot is worth just under a million pounds.
The pair have handed in their notice at work and are taking a break to decide how to spend their windfall.
“It’s beginning to sink in,” Ladner told a news conference. “We are going on holiday first…and then think about what we are going to do for the rest of our lives.”
