A woman in America accused of shoplifting made a daring escape bid when apprehended by police – by wriggling out of her shirt and running topless down the street.
The woman was allegedly seen by witnesses stealing items from the shop in Trenton, Pennsylvania. Police caught her and brought her back to the store, where the manager identified several items in her bag as being stolen.
When the officers then tried to place the woman under arrest, she managed to break free. In the ensuing struggle, she managed to evade the cops by slipping out of her shirt, and ran off down the street topless.
However, after a short Benny Hill-style chase, the police caught her again, and advised her to lie face down on the ground, so that people wouldn’t see her rude bits. Internal Affairs officers then arrived with a jumper for her to wear.
Nobody was injured in the topless chase.
